Where can we deliver to?

Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales and most areas in Scotland. If you live outside these areas we, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM , GY, JE, BT)

Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our coops to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product! If you do live outside these regions you are welcome to arrange collection from us using a courier company of your choice.

Delivery to Scotland

We can offer delivery to most areas in Scotland. The express delivery option may not be available though for some addresses in the far north. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery to the following Scottish postcodes due to the size of our products and the very high costs levied by the courier companies we use.

HS , ZE , IV40 - IV56, PA20 -80, PH41 - 44, KW15 -17

You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.

Delivery to the Isle of Wight

The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £15.95 per order.

*This is an estimate based on the majority of orders sent, however we cannot absolutely guarantee it.

1. Can the run secton also be used as a stand alone run?

The Highgrove Run has not been designed to be used as a stand-alone run. This is because one end is open to allow it to join onto the hutch itself so you wouldn't be able to use it effectively as a separate run. Most of our customers looking for a stand alone run go for either medium or large folding runs.

2. How is the Run attached to the Highgrove Hutch?

The run is normally attached to the hutch with the L-brackets and screws supplied.

If you would like to detach it regularly so as too move it about freely then you could just place the run into position where it fits nice and snug between the brackets. Your bunny shouldn't be able to move it. However If you were worried about it moving you could do what a few customers have done which
is to secure the run to the hutch using a hook and eye' type latches.

3. Can I add 2 Highgrove Runs together to form 1 long one?

Yes in effect you could joing them together using the brackets that are supplied.

4. Is the wood treated?

Yes, the Highgrove Run comes with a base coat treatment of wood preservative. But as with all outdoor wooden structures in our harsh climate, we recommend that the timber is treated on a regular basis to ensure a long life. There are many popular products available with Cuprinol , Ronseal and Wilkinson amongst the better-known brands. A lot of customers use and recommend these:

Recommended Wood Preservative 1  and Recommended Wood Preservative 2

Product Care

All the woodwork has been joined, sanded, glued, bolted and finished to the highest standards. The wood we use in this product is a highly durable and scented softwood which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot.

As with all outdoor wooden structures we strongly recommend that you treat your hutch with a high-quality varnish or wood preservative before exposing it to the elements and that you re-treat it at least once a year (preferably before the winter season) to maintain the applied preservative and water repellent properties. We also highly recommend that you position your rabbit hutch in a protected area which is not exposed to the elements and high winds.

Chewing & Foxes

There is always the possibility that some rabbits and other rodents may chew parts of their hutch. This is out of our control and the onus really is on you to take the necessary precautions straight away to prevent or lessen the chance of them chewing parts of their hutch.

Our wooden hutches, like the majority of wooden hutch sold in the U.K, are not chew proof and we can't be held liable for any damage caused to or by your pet chewing or gnawing the product. Prolonged chewing can also weaken your hutch and decrease the protection they offer against foxes.

We would like to think that our Highgrove Run is made to a higher standard than most other suppliers in its price range. While we have purposely used thicker, sturdier wood, wire and locks with the aim to make it as safe and secure as possible for your pets we cannot absolutely guarantee that foxes and other predators won’t try and target them.

Foxes are by far the biggest threat that your pet will face so if you are going to keep your rabbits or guinea pigs outside then we also urge you to take these added precautions especially if you know you have foxes in your area.
