Double Hutch with Run
The Double Rabbit Hutch With Run has over 24 sq feet of space split over 2 levels.
The front run alone gives access to over 12 square feet of outside space and is securely attached to the front of the Double Hutch using the metal brackets supplied.
The hutch and run are both fitted with strong heavy duty wire which is built into the frame for extra durability.
Access to the run can be via the large front door or the 2 metal side doors. It also has a large folding roof for easy access.
The Double Hutch with Run is the ideal choice if you like the design of the Double Hutch combined with a spacious outside area for rabbits and guinea pigs to exercise in.

Where can we deliver to?
Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales and most areas in the lowlands of Scotland. If you live outside these areas we then, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM , GY, JE, BT)
Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our hutches to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product!
Delivery to Scotland
We can deliver to most lowland areas in Scotland. These include the following postcodes: DD , DG , EH , FK1-15 , G , KA1-26 , KA29-30 , KY , ML , PA1-19 , PH1-9 , TD
If you live outside these areas then unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery due to the high extra charges levied by the courier companies we use. You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.
Delivery to the Isle of Wight
The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £15.95 per order.
1. Can the run section also be used as a stand-alone run?
The run section of the Double with Run has not been designed to be used as a stand-alone run. This is because one end is open to allow it to join onto the hutch itself so you wouldn't be able to use it effectively as a separate run.
The image below is of the Double Run. Note how the section that would join onto the front of the hutch is 'open'. Most of our customers looking for a stand-alone run go for either medium or large folding runs.
2. Is the Double Hutch With Run big enough for two rabbits?
A lot will depend on the breed of rabbit, how you intend to keep your rabbits and how much time they will get to interact outside the hutch. There is a huge difference in the amount of space a British Giant needs when you compare it to a Netherland Dwarf. You know your set up best, which breed you intend to keep and how you intend to keep them.
You can get all the measurements from our product pages so you can make an informed decision before you purchase. For more information click here
3. How is the Run attached to the Hutch?
The run is normally attached to the hutch with the L-brackets and screws supplied.
If you would like to detach it regularly so as to move it about freely then you could just place the run into a position where it fits nice and snug between the brackets. Your bunny shouldn't be able to move it. However, if you were worried about it moving you could do what a few customers have done which is to secure the run to the hutch using a hook and eye' type latches.
4. Can the Hutch Cover still be fitted when the run is permanently attached
The cover is specifically designed to fit the hutch. You can, however, fit the cover with the run attached. To do this you will need to unzip the zips on both sides of the bottom sections of the cover where the run would join onto the hutch. This will then allow the bottom section of the cover to 'flap' onto the roof of the run so that the run can stay secure against the hutch.
5. Is the Double With Run fox proof?
We would like to think that our Double Hutch is made to a higher standard than most other suppliers in its price range. While we have purposely used thicker, sturdier wood, wire and locks with the aim to make it as safe and secure as possible for your pets we cannot absolutely guarantee that foxes and other predators won’t try and target them.
Foxes are by far the biggest threat that your pet will face so if you are going to keep your rabbits or guinea pigs outside then we also urge you to take these added precautions especially if you know you have foxes in your area.
6. Is the wood treated?
Yes, the Double With Run comes with a base coat treatment of wood preservative. But as with all outdoor wooden structures in our harsh climate, we recommend that the timber is treated on a regular basis to ensure a long life. There are many popular products available with Cuprinol , Ronseal and Wilkinson amongst the better-known brands. A lot of customers use and recommend these:
Caring For Your Hutch
As with most outdoor products the lifespan of your hutch can be dramatically prolonged just by taking a few simple steps. Click here for our product care guidelines.
Positioning Your Hutch
If you plan on keeping your hutch outside then we highly recommend that you position it in a protected area which is not overly exposed to the elements and protected at all times from high winds (or sudden gusts).
The Wood We Use
The majority of the wood we use in this product is a highly durable, kiln-dried white pine which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot. Most rabbit hutches made in the U.K use this type of wood. But unlike many other manufacturers, we use more of it.
You'll find that the framework is thicker and the majority of the hutch uses solid tongue and groove construction (and less cheap plywood). This is why our hutches tend to be sturdier, heavier and last longer than many of the cheaper options out there.

While we have purposely used thicker, sturdier wood, wire and locks with the aim to make it as safe and secure as possible for your pets we cannot absolutely guarantee that foxes and other animals (dogs, badgers, stoats, cats) won’t try and target them.

Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that some rabbits and other rodents may chew parts of their hutch. This is out of our control and the onus really is on you to take the necessary precautions straight away to prevent or lessen the chance of them chewing parts of their hutch.
Our wooden hutches, like the majority of wooden hutch sold in the U.K, are not chew proof and we can't be held liable for any damage caused to or by your pet chewing or gnawing the product. Prolonged chewing can also weaken your hutch and decrease the protection they offer against foxes.
We recommend trying out our new Anti Chew Strips and taking a close look at all the steps you can take to stop or at least lessen the chances of your rabbit chewing things they shouldn't.
