Our Highgrove model comes with a low price tag, yet has many features you would expect to see on much more expensive models.

Two levels, separated by a trap door, give your pets plenty of scope for movement, play and even privacy when needed. With almost 10 square feet of space, you certainly get plenty of room for your money.

What's more, since the bottom of this hutch has no floor, your pets can have safe access to fresh grass and soil when outside. Best of all, the lightweight structure is robust enough to protect against the elements, yet can be easily moved around a garden (once your animals have been removed to a safe location, of course) to a fresh patch of grass for even happier bunnies.

The Highgrove offers plenty of visibility too, so you can see just how much your rabbits or guinea pigs enjoy their new home, protected, of course, by heavy duty wire mesh that is integrated into the frame for extra durability.

The top and bottom sections of this hutch can be closed off should you need thanks to a handy trap door. Access to the lower run area is via a non slip ramp.

As well as roof access (with locking steel stays for safety and convenience), you can access the interior of the hutch via 3 mesh frame doors and one solid wood door, which makes a cosy sleeping compartment for your animals.

The water resistant surface on the fitted first floor on this hutch also helps make cleaning a breeze. There is also a weather-proof sheet above the top wire door that can be quickly released to keep out the extremes of the elements. When the sun is out it can be quickly and easily rolled up.

The Highgrove hutch is a superb low cost solution for your rabbits or guinea pigs at a fraction of the cost of similar cages.

Where can we deliver to?

Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales and most areas in Scotland. If you live outside these areas we, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM , GY, JE, BT)

Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our coops to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product! If you do live outside these regions you are welcome to arrange collection from us using a courier company of your choice.

Delivery to Scotland

We can deliver to most areas in Scotland. The express delivery option may not be available though for some addresses in the far north. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to the following Scottish postcodes due to the size of our products and the very high costs levied by the courier companies we use.

HS , ZE , IV40 - IV56, PA20 -80, PH41 - 44, KW15 -17

You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.

Delivery to the Isle of Wight

The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £15.95 per order.

*This is an estimate based on the majority of orders sent, however we cannot absolutely guarantee it.

1. Is there a Run for the Highgrove?

Yes, you can purchase an add-on run for the Highgrove at any time. Here is the link to the Highgrove Run. It works out a little cheaper if you purchase the Highgrove with the run at the same time

2. Is the Highgrove Hutch big enough for two rabbits?

Alot will depend on the breed of rabbit, how you intend to keep your rabbits and how much time they will get to interact outside the hutch. There is a huge difference in the amount of space a British Giant needs when you compare it to a Netherland Dwarf.

You know your set up best, which breed you intend to keep and how you intend to keep them. You can get all the measurements from our product pages so you can make an informed decision before you purchase. For more information click here

3. Is the Highgrove Hutch fox proof?

We would like to think that our Highgrove Hutch is made to a higher standard than most other suppliers in its price range. While we have purposely used thicker, sturdier wood, wire and locks with the aim to make it as safe and secure as possible for your pets we cannot absolutely guarantee that foxes and other predators won’t try and target them.

Foxes are by far the biggest threat that your pet will face so if you are going to keep your rabbits or guinea pigs outside then we also urge you to take these added precautions especially if you know you have foxes in your area.

4. Is the wood treated?

Yes, the Highgrove Hutch comes with a base coat treatment of wood preservative. But as with all outdoor wooden structures in our harsh climate, we recommend that the timber is treated on a regular basis to ensure a long life. There are many popular products available with Cuprinol , Ronseal and Wilkinson amongst the better-known brands. A lot of customers use and recommend these:

Recommended Wood Preservative 1  and Recommended Wood Preservative 2

Product Care

All the woodwork has been joined, sanded, glued, bolted and finished to the highest standards. The wood we use in this product is a highly durable and scented softwood which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot.

As with all outdoor wooden structures we strongly recommend that you treat your hutch with a high-quality varnish or wood preservative before exposing it to the elements and that you re-treat it at least once a year (preferably before the winter season) to maintain the applied preservative and water repellent properties. We also recommend that you position your rabbit hutch in a protected area which is not exposed to the elements and high winds. Click here for our product care guidelines

Chewing & Foxes

There is always the possibility that some rabbits and other rodents may chew parts of their hutch. This is out of our control and the onus really is on you to take the necessary precautions to prevent or lessen the chance of them chewing parts of their hutch.

Our hutches are not chew proof and we can't be held liable for any damage caused to or by your pet chewing or gnawing the product. Prolonged chewing can also weaken your hutch and decrease the protection they offer against foxes.
