What happens if I'm not at home to take delivery?

 

Like most online companies we use a 3rd party courier company. You don't need to be in to receive your order however there are a few things you will need to do for things to run smoothly.

We will ask you for a safe location the driver can leave your parcels should you not be in when they attempt to deliver.

You should have received an automatic order confirmation email from us within 15 minutes of an order being placed. In this email you will be asked for your delivery instructions and to confirm your delivery address.

If you have not received this please contact us because we can't dispatch your order until we have confirmation of your delivery address.

If nobody is available to accept delivery and you have not instructed us to leave your order in a special location then the driver will leave an 'attempted to deliver card' with details of the local depot for you to contact. You will need to either rearrange delivery or collect your order from the depot.

After 2 unsuccessful attempts your order will be returned to us at an extra cost of between £25 to £40 to us. So we want delivery to run as smoothly as possible.

Please know that even when we pass on your instructions of a safe place to the courier company sometimes the driver will not leave your items unless there is a note on the door asking them to do so.

So if you are not going to be in or you have to go out for a short while please leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave the parcels. Something as simple as

 

 

We are aware that you may not want to leave a note on your door for security reasons. Over the last 5 years we have sent an estimated 30 000 boxes with a large proportion (40 to 50%) left as instructed. We have never had one "go missing".

Having said that if you are not going to be in and don't want to leave a small note for the the driver this is perfectly fine.

Please just let us know before we dispatch your order so we can arrange a day that you or someone will be in to accept delivery.
