The Double Rabbit Hutch

The Double Rabbit Hutch consists of two separate levels connected by a trapdoor, which can be opened or closed to allow access to either level. It is the ideal solution if you want to separate your animals from time to time or alternatively, it can be simply used as a large two-level rabbit hutch.

As you’ll see from the specifications, the Double Rabbit Hutch offers just under 12 square feet over the two secure levels. Both main doors come with heavy-duty steel mesh built into the frame for extra durability. And, all doors, including those on the sleeping compartments open outwards for easy cleaning of the interior.

When it comes to cleaning, maintenance and caring for your pets, the Double Hutch features a liftable roof for easy access. Two metal stays are included so the roof can be held safely in place while you attend to your animals.

Because this is a raised hutch, your rabbits will benefit from a warmer, more comfortable and drier enclosure. Rubber feet mean that the legs are protected from ground moisture and help prevent wood rot.

The interior floor surfaces on both levels of the double rabbit hutch have been lined with a plastic material which not only protects the wood but also makes it very easy to wipe cleaned.

All the woodwork has been jointed, sanded, glued, bolted and finished to the highest standards. The wood we use in this product is highly durable and scented softwood which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot.

We also ensure that an animal friendly wood preservative is applied to the hutch before it leaves the factory. As with all outdoor wooden structures we strongly recommend that you retreat your hutch with a high quality varnish or wood preservative as soon as possible and that you re-treat it at least once a year (preferably before the winter season) to maintain the applied preservative and water repellent properties.

Included are the instructions with clear and concise diagrams. Each bag of screws or bolts is labelled and shown on the instructions so there is no confusion when you come to put the house together. Estimated construction time 30 to 45 minutes.
